Project Apis CIC is a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales. We operate the Project Apis Hive Manager app to coordinate volunteers, manage beekeeping sites, and track volunteer impact. Contact: info@project-apis.co.uk
When you create an account and volunteer profile, we may collect: • Name and preferred name • Email address • Phone number (optional) • Postcode / area (optional) • Age range • Emergency contact name and phone number • Photo permission preference • Session consent and privacy policy acceptance • Volunteer attendance records and hours • Apiary attendance history • Hive inspection notes entered by users
We collect this data solely for: • Volunteer coordination and communication • Attendance tracking and session check-in • Volunteer hours reporting • Project impact reporting for funders • App account management and support We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
• You can always view and edit your own profile. • Project Apis CIC admins can see volunteer profiles for coordination purposes. • Site Lead volunteers can see session attendance for their assigned apiaries. • Your personal data (phone, emergency contact, medical notes) is never shown to other volunteers. • Hive inspection data may be viewed by site leads and admins for operational purposes.
We retain your data for as long as you are an active volunteer or account holder. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days in line with GDPR. Aggregate and anonymised data (e.g. total volunteer hours) may be retained for impact reporting.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: • Access your personal data • Correct inaccurate data • Request deletion of your data • Object to processing • Request a copy of your data (data portability) To exercise any of these rights, contact info@project-apis.co.uk or use the "Delete My Account" option in Settings.
The app does not use third-party advertising cookies. We may use basic session tokens to keep you logged in. No analytics data is shared with third parties.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email.
